George Puype

George has been employed by Aspen Systems since its inception, and is a founder of the company. He received a B.A. Degree from St. Thomas University and a Certificate of Industrial Management from Arizona State University. He has spent his entire career in the field of technology. He was a Manager of Engineering Administration for Sperry; a Senior Vice President of the Southern California First National Bank, overseeing Information Technology. As President and CEO of Aspen, he oversees the Financial, Marketing, Development and Operations of the company. He is the strategic planning officer for Aspen Systems.
Lisa Lawrence
Vice President, CFO, Secretary, Board Member

Lisa has been employed by Aspen since its inception, and is a founder of the company. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and graduated with honors from Arizona State University in 1982. Upon graduation, she was employed by the CPA firm formerly known as Price Waterhouse. She worked as a CPA in their audit department, until she left public accounting to establish Aspen Systems, Inc. with her father, George Puype. She is responsible for overseeing all of the financial aspects of the company and oversees office administration and human resources.
Steve French
Chief Information Officer
Steve has been employed by Aspen since its inception and helped with the establishment of the company. He received a B.S. Degree in Computer Sciences from Arizona State University in 1978. Steve has overseen the Development for both PFS and Canopy. His timeless efforts have maintained the concept of “one system for all users.” In view of the volume of programming requests over the years, this is a considerable feat. Steve is a skilled designer and programmer whose intimate knowledge of both PFS and Canopy has proven invaluable. Over the years Steve has divided his time between Development and Sales, and his constant interaction with Leaders in the Food Industry has provided him with extraordinary strategic planning capability. Under Steve’s guidance, Canopy has evolved into the most feature-rich, fully integrated system solution available to the Food Industry today.
Justin Ben
Director of Systems Development
Justin joined Aspen Systems in 2000 as a part-time programmer while working on his B.S. Degree in Computer Information Systems, which he received in 2001. Justin started out programming for the Phoenix Food System and later migrated to programming for Canopy. Justin now oversees the development of Canopy and its companion products: Pulse, Document Imaging, Event Watch, Report Scheduling and EDI.Justin is a talented designer and programmer with great in-depth knowledge of Canopy. He possesses tremendous management,communication and interactive skills. Justin is constantly seeking innovative solutions that provide both customers and employees with the resources they need to meet their most pressing needs.
John Reynolds
Director of Sales
John joined Aspen as a salesperson in 1994. Before coming to Aspen he spent 19 years with a food distribution and processing company. He has worked in many areas of the food industry including shipping, warehousing and production. He was an experienced route salesperson and also spent time as an inside salesperson. Purchasing is another area of the food industry that John has mastered. Most of his 19 years were spent selling to retail grocery chains, food processing and foodservice companies. John’s vast experience in the food industry provides him with a direct understanding of the needs of Aspen’s customers. This has translated into many intuitive additions to the Canopy product to better meet the unique requirements of the food industry. John's many years with Aspen incorporate computer systems’ expertise from both a software and hardware perspective. In his current position as Director of Sales, John’s comprehensive experience has translated into an optimum formula for guiding sales and marketing efforts to best meet the individual needs of Aspen's customers.
Tim Mabley
Director of Operations
Tim joined Aspen Systems as a skilled programmer/analyst in 1991 and has held senior staff positions in Systems Design and Development, Customer Support and Quality Assurance. His career has ranged from programmer/analyst to global development, implementation, and directing service teams focused on the grocery, food processing, and health care industries. Tim is a talented individual, possessing a variety of skill sets and one of the senior designers of Aspen's flagship product, Canopy. Tim has been a key contributor to all elements of Canopy, from design concept to the first go-live in 2003, and he continues to provide his valuable experience in ongoing enhancement. Tim accepted the position of Director of Operations in July of 2008. In this position he directs and oversees Implementation, Customer Support, and Development Services/Quality Assurance for both Phoenix Food System and Canopy.
David Kubinski
Director of Technology Platforms
David joined Aspen in 1993. He received a B.S. Degree in Education from the University of Texas El Paso in 1977. David is currently the Director of Technology Platforms. David directs and oversees new product selection, acquisition and installation of systems and hardware and operating systems services and support. David acts as the key consultant guiding warehouse management decisions for Aspen’s customer base by designing optimum solutions for tracking inventory using Aspen's Data Capture and Scales Solutions. David's skills of analytical trouble-shooting, hardware integration, operating system concepts, and factory warehouse organization using radio frequency concepts, are superior and perhaps unparalleled in the Industry. He has gained the respect of Aspen's vendors often resolving their technology issues. Customers, peers and subordinates likewise respect David's abilities. David uses his expertise in hardware matters to assist Aspen in marketing efforts both in new transactions and Data Capture transactions, devoting nearly half of his time to Marketing.
